What’s new?

Effective 20 Feb 2019, via an announcement made by the Expatriate Services Division (ESD), please note the following new points for Long Term Social Visit Pass (LTSVP) applications :-

Age of Applicant

18 years and above

18 – 25 years old only (except for children with disabilities)

** Additional Document required N.A.

Declaration letter confirming status of applicant (whether single, unemployed and/or under custodian of the EP holder) signed before a Commissioner of Oaths.

This is also applicable for LTSPV renewals.

What’s the impact?

Companies should manage the expectations of its foreign assignees / employees who have accompanying dependants above the age of 18 and who require the LTSVP in Malaysia. This may affect their decision for the move if their dependants do not qualify or are not able to obtain the LTSVP.
